The Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy For Books, and is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word! It’s an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! This weeks question is: What book(s) would you like to see turned into a movie?

The Gemma Doyle Trilogy by Libba Bray. I will never ever stop promoting them on my blog because they are my second favourite series ever and I can’t sing their praise enough! For a while there was going to be a movie in the works (directed by Charles Sturridge) but it’s been put aside indefinitely… I even have my dream cast picked out and all, which I’ll show you a little further down the page.
With heaps of YA novels being made into movies today, there’s a lot of competition, but I’d love to see a historical YA novel be put to screen. The characters, settings and storyline of this series is just so rich that I think a transition to screen would really be quite lovely. It’s something completely different for the YA movie market, so I’m really hoping someday I see it turn into a reality.
The following is my “dream cast” of who I’d like to the play the characters. I’ve had a few years to get these actresses really set in my mind as my favourite Spence young ladies and bonus points, too, because they’re all British actresses! Felicity Jones as Pippa Cross, Rachel Hurd-Wood as Gemma Doyle, Imogen Poots as Felicity Worthington and Jo Woodcock as Ann Bradshaw. What do you think?

Hi from your newest follower. I love your site. I just realized that I read YA and I read historical fiction but I don’t think I’ve read YA historical fiction (putting it on my list now). That’s so weird.
