‘Dangerous Lies’ Blog Tour: A ‘Simlish’ Introduction

November 14, 2015

with wordshashtagGuess what? I’m TOUR STOP #12 on Simon & Schuster’s blog tour for Becca Fitzpatrick’s ‘Dangerous Lies‘! I’m so excited to be a part of the tour – and therefore I wanted to do something completely left field that combines two of my passions… creating SIMS of BOOK CHARACTERS. Yup, I’m sure we’ve all done it sometime in the past… *hides*

Dangerous Lies came out four days ago, and I already had a chance to read and review the book a month or so ago. My review, however, was just posted to coincide with the release, so please check it out here. I can tell you straight up, this is my favourite Becca Fitzpatrick book to date.

Okay, so in celebration, I present to you… an introduction to Dangerous Lies with some very simlish visual prompts. Enjoy! (Scroll to the end for a bookmark for you to print and keep!)

67Who is ‘Stella Gordon’? Well, she’s a girl who’s been placed into witness protection. After witnessing a murder, she has to leave behind her family and her boyfriend and relocate to Thunder Basin, Nebraska – practically the middle of nowhere – until she can testify in court against the killer. Used to the best of everything and absolutely no parental discipline, the hokey Thunder Basin is going to be a challenge…

4 5Her new place is unlike anything Stella has ever experienced. It’s owned by ex-cop Carmina, who has a few tough-love lessons of her own to teach…

8 9The denim-clad, red cowboy-boot-wearing Carmina wants Stella to embrace her new life; go to church and get a job. Maybe then she’ll earn her respect, even friendship… the two butt heads A LOT.

10 11Stella holds her own, though. She’s not going to lose her identity without a fight. Despite being unable to get along initially, maybe Carmina and Stella will have a fantastic friendship as the book progresses (hint, hint… wink, nudge!) and maybe it’ll even be your favourite part of Dangerous Lies.

1 2 3But if that’s not enough to convince you, what about Chet Falconer? He’s the bad boy of Thunder Basin that has a mysterious past. Stella is begrudgingly woken her first morning in Thunder Basin by Chet, mowing the lawn at an ungodly hour. Is she instantly smitten? NO WAY, IT’S WAY TOO EARLY! But she does notice his tight white shirt and cowboy hat. How could you not?

The Tour

A big THANK YOU to Simon & Schuster for including me on the tour for Dangerous Lies and for the lovely ARC I received. Don’t forget to visit the other blogs on the tour:
