Some fantastic Young Adult titles are hitting the shelves this month – below is a collection of some of the most notable! From contemporary to fantasy, horror to romance… there’s sure to be something you love! Click each book to find out more, and don’t forget to have a look at my picks at the end of the post!

my-pick1‘The Star-Touched Queen’
by Roshani Chokshi

Maya is cursed. With a horoscope that promises a marriage of Death and Destruction, she has earned only the scorn and fear of her father’s kingdom. Content to follow more scholarly pursuits, her whole world is torn apart when her father, the Raja, arranges a wedding of political convenience to quell outside rebellions. Soon Maya becomes the queen of Akaran and wife of Amar. Neither roles are what she expected: As Akaran’s queen, she finds her voice and power. As Amar’s wife, she finds something else entirely: Compassion. Protection. Desire…But Akaran has its own secrets — thousands of locked doors, gardens of glass, and a tree that bears memories instead of fruit. Soon, Maya suspects her life is in danger. Yet who, besides her husband, can she trust? With the fate of the human and Otherworldly realms hanging in the balance, Maya must unravel an ancient mystery that spans reincarnated lives to save those she loves the most. . .including herself.

I’ve done a WOW post for this, explaining my reasons for wanting to read… BUT THAT COVER IS MOSTLY MY MOTIVATION. I neeeeed another good mythology series stat.

my-pick2‘The Raven King’
by Maggie Stiefvater

The fourth and final installment in the spellbinding series from the irrepressible, #1 New York Times bestselling author Maggie Stiefvater.

All her life, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love’s death.

She doesn’t believe in true love and never thought this would be a problem, but as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she’s not so sure anymore.

Maggie. My Goddess, Maggie Stiefvater. I hang my head in shame that I have not yet gotten around to reading this series even though Maggie is a FAVE for me… but… hopefully with the release of this one, I can finally get around to it!

my-pick3‘A Fierce & Subtle Poison’
by Samantha Mabry

Everyone knows the legends about the cursed girl–Isabel, the one the señoras whisper about. They say she has green skin and grass for hair, and she feeds on the poisonous plants that fill her family’s Caribbean island garden. Some say she can grant wishes; some say her touch can kill.

Seventeen-year-old Lucas lives on the mainland most of the year but spends summers with his hotel-developer father in Puerto Rico. He’s grown up hearing stories about the cursed girl, and he wants to believe in Isabel and her magic. When letters from Isabel begin mysteriously appearing in his room the same day his new girlfriend disappears, Lucas turns to Isabel for answers–and finds himself lured into her strange and enchanted world. But time is running out for the girl filled with poison, and the more entangled Lucas becomes with Isabel, the less certain he is of escaping with his own life.

Yet another book I featured on a WOW post. This one seems incredibly unique and quirky, and I can’t wait to pick it up.
