I conquered a good amount of my TBR pile, actually. I finally finished The Winner’s Trilogy, and began and finished The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater. I fell so in love with all of the characters in that one. So glad I read it. I also began reading The Star-Touched Queen (but didn’t finish it until May 3 – oops this post is a little late! – so although the review is up on the blog for it now, it won’t be displayed in my finished books until next month’s recap!) My favourite read was The Raven King. Although I had a lot of problems with it, I was so excited to get my hands on it and I weep that it’s over.

Some leftovers from March here. As I mentioned, as this post is late, I’ve already finished The Star-Touched Queen. I wanted to finish the Healer series before seeing Maria V. Snyder at Supanova, but I just didn’t get the time. I’ve started it now, though (I have to re-read Touch of Power to refresh my memory!) and then it’s on to A Court of Mist and Fury – my most anticipated read of 2016! I’m also going to start The 5th Wave series by Rick Yancey, just in time for the finale at the end of this month!

New Additions

2016-04-newI only bought one book this month (GO ME!) as my saving money mode is still in high gear. I couldn’t resist Lady Midnight, even if it’s going to be a while until I can read that slab of a book! Also thank you so much to Bloomsbury for sending me The Winner’s Kiss right in time for its release, so I was able to read and review it on the blog!

What’s on your TBR pile for this month?
Did you read any of the books I read last month? What did you think?

I can’t wait for you to read Lady Midnight Britt, it’s such an incredible read! It feels so different to all the previous Shadowhunters releases, it’s sassy and funny but with lots of personality and heart. I’m almost finished ACOMAF and gosh, the emotion. I went from fuming, to frustration, to swooning and now I’m so emotionally spent and worried that she’s going to kill me with a plot twist that my heart won’t cope with. Good luck with this months reads Britt, such an awesome selection <3
