I almost demolished my March TBR! Despite being super busy with work and university, I read everything I wanted to, except for The Winner’s Kiss (which I’ve started, but not yet finished or reviewed). Unfortunatley, my March reads were pretty lacklustre! I thought I would love Rebel of the Sands and The Forbidden Wish, but sadly they felt a bit overdone for me. My biggest surprise came with ‘The Great Hunt’, which I expected to hate after the low reviews, but actually really enjoyed. As to be expected, Glass Sword was atrocious (I won’t be continuing with this series!) and I don’t have high hopes for The Winner’s Kiss, as I haven’t enjoyed the previous two books. Still, I want to get this series DONE.
So, this month is going to be SUPER HECTIC. With an assignment deadline looming this week for University as well as Supanova on the Gold Coast this weekend, I doubt I’ll get much reading done. STILL – I WILL BE MEETING MARIA V. SNYDER FOR THE SECOND TIME at Supanova, and I really want to finish the Touch of Power series, as I LOVED the first book. April also brings with it the release of The Raven King, and there’s been no better time to finally get around to reading this series by one of my favourites, Maggie Stiefvater. I HAVE HIGH HOPES.
I also have a tonne of other books I want to read this month (Soldier by Julie Kagawa, as well as the Orphan Queen books by Jodi Meadows) but I don’t want to say I WILL read them, as who knows how busy this month will be.
As for new additions, I am officially on a BOOK BUYING BAN as I’m trying to save to go to the UK in October, but I was one of the lucky winners of The Mortal Instruments set (with the lovely redesigned covers!) thanks to the contest Chiara over at Delicate Eternity hosted!
