Monthly Shelf Recap

Monthly Shelf Recap – November, 2015

November 30, 2015

I read a total of 7 books this month, and 1 novella. I’m also a few chapters in to Winter… so I’m pretty happy with my progress considering I tackled the majority of last month’s TBR list. YAY FOR REACHING GOALS. My favourite this month was hands-down A Court of Thorn and Roses by Sarah J Maas. Epic. Ten Thousand Skies Above You was a really close second. I also got into re-reading The Lunar Chronicles finally… and I have to say I was quite disappointed with Cinder, as the first time I read it a few years ago it was five stars! This time around, though, it was only a 3. Though, I’ve got to see how the series improves and progresses and I am still enjoying it a lot! Biggest disappointment for me was The Winner’s CrimeI was just BORED. Not sure if I’ll be continuing with this series…

Some leftovers, here, of course. I will get around to reading the new Josephine Angelini books sometime soon… haha. I think The Assassin’s Blade novellas won’t be far off, either, as meeting Sarah J. Maas at Supanova this month really spurred me on. Of course, it’s also time to FINALLY get into The Starbound Trilogy, now that the last book is out. I CANNOT WAIT.

New Additions

My only purchases this month were the first three: Winter, Fangirl (Art edition) and Carry On. The next four books were sent to me by the lovely people at Simon & Schuster AU for being a runner up in the Becca Fitzpatrick Dangerous Lies tour! Woohoo, thanks guys! So stoked to finally read Night Owls!

Ooh I hope you like the Starbound books! :D I LOVED the finale! The middle book wasn’t my favourite but that cover…afjdklasd all those covers are just so deliciously beautiful. <3 I'm sad you didn't like Cinder the second time round. D: That's sometimes why I'm scared to reread favourites…what if I doooon't like them as much. wAH. I don't want to spoil good memories, you know? But sometimes I need rereads to remember. GAH. The bookworm life is tough.
