Monthly Shelf Recap

Monthly Shelf Recap – October, 2015

November 1, 2015

2015-10-reviewsI read a total of 3 books this month. Not exactly fantastic, but considering how busy I’ve been with work and other things, I’m still happy I managed to finish anything at all, including two arcs that had a deadline for me.

My favourite read this month was Worlds of Ink & Shadow by Lena Coakley, which was fantastic. The worst thing about this month, though, was that I haven’t been able to post my reviews for my books as I’ve been scheduling them closer to the release date. Oh, well! You’ll be able to see what I thought of Worlds of Ink & Shadow a little more in-depth other than IT WAS SO AMAZING OMG in a few months time…

When I look at my October TBR pile from last month, there were a few more books I wanted to have accomplished, but oh well… I’m almost done with The Winner’s Curse, so I guess I almost finished four?

Argh, so I am setting my sights high this month. The leftovers from last month’s TBR are also in here, as well as A Court of Thorn and Roses, which I’ll have to read before Supanova Gold Coast at the end of November – as I want to read all the Sarah J. Maas books before meeting her!

I’ll also have to re-read Cinder and read the rest of the series so I can read Winter this month. Ten Thousand Skies Above You is also out, which I’m excited to dive into.

So I only bought two books this month – Ten Thousand Skies Above You and The Iron Warrior. Yahoo – good on you, book budget. I received the other three from publishers – thank you! I’ve already read Dangerous Lies, but this one is a shiny finished copy complete with a signed bookplate!
